May 13, 2016 – The Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate Campaign launched television and online ads today as voters begin to vote-by-mail for the 2016 California primary on June 7. A total of four ads, two 30 second ads and two 15 second ads, will run in key markets and online statewide through the primary.
Two of the ads highlight Rep. Sanchez being named as one of the most influential women in Congress, and her senior membership in both the House Armed Services Committee and the House Homeland Security Committee. They also focus on her courageous votes against the Iraq war and Wall Street bailout, and that she is the only candidate with national security experience.
“I want to create jobs, expand educational opportunity and healthcare, and pass immigration reform,” says Sanchez in the 30-second ads entitled “ONLY” and “Solamente,” which will run in English and Spanish. “I’m ready to meet our challenges at home and abroad,” she concludes.
The other two 15-second Spanish language ads will introduce voters to Rep. Sanchez’s working class background, her parents who were Mexican immigrants, and her commitment to passing immigration reform. In addition, she discusses creating jobs, increasing the minimum wage, and expanding educational opportunities and healthcare.
“I’ve been a leader in the fight for immigration reform and to raise the minimum wage,” says Sanchez in the ad entitled “Lider.” “I’ll create jobs and expand educational opportunity and healthcare. I come from you and I’ll fight for you.”
“My parents were hard-working Mexican immigrants,” says Sanchez in the ad entitled “Familia.” “I will lead the fight for immigration reform. I come from you and I’ll fight for you as your U.S. Senator.”
